'The Jesus Conundrum: Searching for Truth beyond Dogma'
SANDY, Utah, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Another book about Jesus? This third millennium after the birth of Christ requires a different viewpoint to make his life and teachings meaningful. While religious books require faith in dogma, the historical books largely fail to come to grips with the esoteric aspects of Jesus' message and why they should be relevant for us today.
So instead, "The Jesus Conundrum: Searching for Truth beyond Dogma" (published by Trafford Publishing) looks at the spirit that animated Jesus and his followers, for which they were willing to sacrifice their lives. A peaceful, stable and durable society needs a philosophical underpinning that accepts a spiritual dimension. This tends to be lacking in our skeptical, if not outright cynical, public discourse, according to author Ernst Rodin, a physician with special training in neurology, psychiatry and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Rodin points to where the search for truth can lead and how it can benefit the individual and society. The latter is especially important because we are practically drowning in an ocean of exaggerations, half-truths and outright lies. This leads to mistrust and makes an understanding between people, let alone nations, practically impossible. Dr. Rodin examines ancient Persian and Egyptian ideas, faith and truth, cosmic consciousness, and how the Jesus conundrum is solvable. A fascinating exploration for general readers of all creeds or as a text for comparative religion.
