The J. M. Smucker Company Announces Dividend Increase

ORRVILLE, Ohio, July 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The J. M. Smucker Company (NYSE: SJM) today announced that the Board of Directors has approved an increase in the quarterly dividend from $0.44 to $0.48 per common share.  The change represents an increase of nine percent, adding to the ten percent increase approved by the Board earlier this calendar year. The dividend will be paid on Thursday, September 1, 2011, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Friday, August 12, 2011.
