NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Restaurant discovery platform, The Infatuation, today announced the addition of Michael Sinatra as the company's first-ever vice president of communications.
In this new role, Sinatra will oversee the company's communication strategy including media relations, internal and external communications, issues and reputation management as well as help lead the company through its next phase of growth as it nears its 10-year anniversary. The Infatuation has plans to expand to new cities around the globe as well as reintroduce the Zagat brand, after it acquired the legendary restaurant review platform from Google earlier this year. Sinatra will report to Chris Stang, CEO and Co-Founder of The Infatuation.
Prior to joining The Infatuation, Sinatra most recently served as a global director of external communications for consumer products company, Newell Brands since 2017. During his tenure with the natural and organic grocer, he led several partnership initiatives with The Infatuation. Sinatra's career began at global public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard in New York City.
"Developing and promoting our company's narrative is essential to the continued growth of The Infatuation and Zagat," said Chris Stang, CEO and Co-Founder of The Infatuation. "Michael has long been a member of the Infatuation community as both an avid user of our platforms and as a brand partner. His passion and understanding for what it is we do, and plan to do in the future, make him the ideal fit to lead this portion of our business."
"Anyone that knows me, knows how important of a role The Infatuation and its community play in my life. For me to be able to give even a small portion of that back and assist this company in further developing its culture and voice, expanding its reach and spotlighting its incredible offerings, is a dream realized," Sinatra said. "I couldn't be more thrilled to officially become a part of The Infatuation family after our history together."
