The Industrial Champ, part of Intermarine's weekly liner service, rescues four stranded fishermen
HOUSTON, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 13, 2013, the Industrial Champ, part of Intermarine's weekly liner service to Colombia, received a distress call while en route from Houston to Puerto Bolivar.
The call came from a Colombian fishing boat whose crew said they had been drifting with an engine failure for eight days. The crew had run out of food and water, and the boat was taking on water by the time their call for help was heard.
The Industrial Champ veered off schedule to bring the four crew members on board. The crew members are all in good health and on their way back to Colombia.
