The Hustle Crosses the Million-Subscriber Mark
Popular Daily Email for Entrepreneurs Hits Major Milestone
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hustle Con Media Inc., the San Francisco-based media, innovation, and events company, today announced that its daily business news email has reached one million subscribers - in just over two years since its launch. Also called "The Hustle," the daily email has been an immensely popular resource for entrepreneurs and business leaders since 2016.
With open rates nearing 50% for most of its distributions, The Hustle's content is read by more than 500,000 recipients daily. The Hustle reports on business news of the day with a heavy focus on technology. Written with an inviting, sharp-witted tone, the emails offer a fresh take on innovative businesses.
"At The Hustle, we don't hold back - and neither do our readers. That's why we've grown so quickly," said Sam Parr, founder of The Hustle. "The people who devour our content every day are some of the hungriest, most creative innovators on the planet. Now we're a million strong and we couldn't be prouder."
The Hustle launched its daily email in late April 2016, following the earlier successes of Hustle Con events in San Francisco. Now, The Hustle has claimed its one-millionth subscriber after two and a half years, seeing thousands of sign-ups every day.
The Hustle's subscriber base is a diverse and accomplished group. The email's male/female readership is rather even, with a 52/48% relative split. More than half of all subscribers either work for or have founded companies recently, with 68% of subscribers working for organizations five years old or younger.
The Hustle team not only speaks to the latest innovators in tech, they're creators in their own right. They custom-built their own CMS, which allows them to connect with their readership better and gives clients creative tools that streamline the sponsorship process.
The Hustle's loyal community has gained the interest of Fortune 500 companies like GE, Microsoft, American Express, and T-Mobile, all of which have run campaigns with The Hustle. In addition, startups that have grown into household names have also leveraged The Hustle's vast reach. Examples include Airbnb, Allbirds, Uber, WeWork, Leesa, and Robinhood. As a result, The Hustle is profitable, with revenues into the high seven figures.
"I invested and believe in The Hustle because it capitalizes on one of the last places where a brand can control its destiny: the inbox," explained Tim Ferriss, serial entrepreneur and #1 New York Times bestselling author. "I love the elegance and simplicity of their strategy: make fans into lifelong customers by offering them bespoke solutions that fit like a glove."
