The Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr. Honored with St. Joseph The Worker Award and Archdiocesan Medal of Honor
BALTIMORE, Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, November 3, 2016, The Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr., Chairman and Co-Founder of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, received the St. Joseph The Worker Award, the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center's highest honor, for his devotion to the medical center as well as the Archdiocesan Medal of Honor, presented to him by Archbishop William E. Lori in recognition of the Senator's outstanding service to the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
The Candlelight Reception of Honor, held annually at the Baltimore Country Club in Roland Park, celebrates the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center's strongest philanthropic supporters.
Senator Kelly is a passionate advocate for the medical center and is a man of tremendous faith who emulates the ideals of St. Joseph The Worker. Dr. Mohan Suntha, former president and CEO of UM St. Joseph Medical Center, poignantly reflected about the Senator's steadfast support as they successfully worked together to revitalize the medical center. And, each of Senator Kelly's four sons, Frank Kelly III, John Kelly, David Kelly and Bryan Kelly, spoke compassionately about their father.
Senator Kelly joins a prestigious list of recipients who exemplify the steady and quiet strength associated with St. Joseph, patron saint of all working people and of the poor.
