The Help Company, the Nation's Most Exclusive Domestic Staffing Agency, Celebrates National Nanny Training Day
April 20th is National Nanny Training Day!
LOS ANGELES, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Launched last year by Lora Brawley, CEO of Nanny Biz Reviews, the National Nanny Training Day is a way to encourage the childcare industry at large to set standards for its caregivers. In response, dozens of private agencies, such as The Help Company, a Los Angeles based nanny placement agency for thousands of Los Angeles families, will be hosting training events all across the country.
"Now more than ever, families know they need a trained nanny and most importantly, someone they can trust with their children," said Help Co's Claudia Kahn, whose agency helps place nannies with celebrities and families throughout Southern California. Last year, she placed close to 100 nannies, "We have nannies you can rely on, nannies who will help your children thrive."
Headquartered in Los Angeles, with satellite offices in San Francisco and Manhattan, the Help Co. will sponsor several celebrity guests and speakers at its training day. They include:
- Help Co. Client and GREY'S ANATOMY star Ellen Pompeo will be there to personally thank the nannies for making it possible for her to work long hours on set.
- Nanny Stella from the Fox reality TV show NANNY 911 will show two segments from her hit show and will talk to the nannies about sleep training.
- Best-selling author, Child Development and Behavior Specialist Betsy Brown Braun will discuss discipline.
- Catherine McCord from Weelicious will do a demonstration on how to make kid-friendly sushi and a fun school lunch your tot will devour!
- Lisa Weinberger, aka Mom, ESQ., will be on hand to educate the nannies on their rights as domestic workers.
"More than 1,300 nannies came together last year and this year is expected to be bigger and better," says Brawley. "Our goal is to provide accessible and affordable quality training opportunities to nannies throughout the country in order to raise the overall quality of child care."
"It's my job as an agent to create a network of qualified, effective caregivers," says Kahn. "The nannies love to share information on everything from sleep training, to car seat safety, nutrition, bullying, working with special needs, discipline, potty training and more. It's great to see them swap ideas and inspire one another."
