The Healthy Home Book Donates All Proceeds to Children's Hunger Fund

SALT LAKE CITY, April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dave Wentz and Dr. Myron Wentz, authors of The Healthy Home, a New York Times best-selling book, presented a $126,000 check to Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) president, Dave Phillips at the organization's annual awards banquet on April 16.

"It is no small thing to donate all the proceeds of a best-selling book to charity. Dave and Dr. Wentz have shown incredible generosity, which is going to have an impact all over the world. Whether in the villages in the world's most impoverished regions, or in the wake of disasters like the one unfolding in Japan, we will be able to provide food and hope to the innocent children who are suffering through it all," said Phillips.

The father and son duo partnered with CHF in 2001 and have since donated over $11 million in the fight to eliminated childhood hunger and malnutrition across the nation.

"The book's purpose is to help people around the world live healthier lives. That's why we chose to donate all the books proceeds to Children's Hunger Fund, because we share the same dream: to make the world a healthier and safer place to live," said Dave Wentz.

The Healthy Home is available on Amazon.com, all major bookstore chains, and in many independent bookstores across the nation. All author proceeds will continue to be donated to CHF.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dave Wentz is chief executive officer of USANA Health Sciences, a state-of-the-art manufacturer of nutritional supplements and health products.  He received a bachelor's degree in bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego.  He lives with his wife, Renee, and his son and new-born daughter, Andrew and Sydney, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
