The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) Welcomes its Newest Chapter in Ohio
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) board of directors voted unanimously on December 14, 2010 to grant chapter status to its HBA affiliate in Ohio. The Ohio affiliate was started in 2008 by a group of talented businesswomen from healthcare organizations across the state. The affiliate recently met all requirements to become an official chapter of the organization and was granted full chapter status by the board.
"We are very excited to welcome the Ohio chapter into the HBA," said HBA CEO Laurie Cooke, RPh, CAE. "The Ohio board of directors has worked tirelessly to build a strong community of business leaders with a very promising future. We view them as a valuable addition to our growing global organization, which expanded to nearly 6,000 members this year across several continents."
Since 2008, the Ohio Board has recruited more than 100 chapter members from Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and other parts of the state, reflecting a diverse range of organizations and talent. Over the past three years, the group has also implemented more than 19 successful programs, recruited an advisory board of top business leaders, and attracted the backing of several sponsors and corporate partners.
