The contest, which will be known as and referred to by the Twitter hash-tag #NeoConTWEST, will allow contestants to compete for a brand new Apple iPad. The first contestant to visit each participating GREENGUARD Certified product manufacturer showroom at The Merchandise Mart and document that visit by taking a photograph of the showroom and uploading it to Twitter—using the hash-tag #NeoConTWEST and directing the tweet to @GREENGUARD—wins. Contestants must also state the name of the manufacturer along with the photo.
"We think this will be a really fun and exciting way to raise awareness about the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, our participating manufacturers, and the importance of low-emitting products for healthier interiors," says Henning Bloech, executive director of GEI. "It's part scavenger hunt, part race. Why not have a little extra fun while walking the showroom floors?"
All visitors to NeoCon age 18 and over—with the exception of GREENGUARD Certified product manufacturers, Secondary Licensees, and GEI staff members—are eligible to participate. No purchase is necessary and no sign up is required. Just tweet and compete!
The GREENGUARD #NeoConTWEST begins 9 a.m. CT on Mon., June 14 and runs until 5 p.m. CT on Wed., June 16. A checklist of all participating GREENGUARD Certified product manufacturers will be available at www.greenguard.org beginning June 7, 2010. For a complete listing of contest rules, see terms and conditions.
