The Great United States Bike Giveaway For Children With Special Needs
CHILDREN IN YOUR COMMUNITY ARE COMPETING FOR A CHANCE TO MAKE THEIR DREAMS A REALITY
WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich., March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Just about every child you'll ever meet would like to have his or her own bicycle to ride around their neighborhood. For many children with special needs and their parents it's not always so simple.
Friendship Circle is now launching their 5th annual Great Bike Giveaway and has partnered with nine adaptive bicycle companies around the country in hopes that 600 children will have the chance to win an adaptive bicycle but they need your help. Adaptive bicycles are extremely costly and while more than 74 million kids across the U.S. ride bikes as an everyday part of childhood, sadly this is not the case for children with special needs. They miss out on this childhood experience because their physical or cognitive limitations make riding a traditional bike impossible. Many parents of children with special needs simply cannot afford an adaptive bicycle and Friendship Circle of Michigan wants to make this dream a reality for their children.
Friendship Circle of Michigan's Great Bike Giveaway aims to make these dreams a reality by giving away hundreds of specially made, adaptive bicycles for children across the country with special needs. These bikes are tailored to meet each child's unique ability so that they don't miss out on this part of their childhood. Children in your city have registered for The Great Bike Giveaway and are hoping to win one of the special adaptive bikes. However they need your help. Donations are being accepted through March 30th at 12pm. Simply go to: friendshipcircle.org/bikes, select which child they would like to support and donate now!

"We are humbled by the opportunity to give back to communities around the Nation and more excited about the smiles we get to put on deserving children's faces when they receive their bikes!" said Sheldon Yellen, CEO of BELFOR Property Restoration.
