The Great Escape to Debut Buccaneer Beach at Splashwater Kingdom in 2015

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y., Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Flags Great Escape today announced the addition of the newly renovated Buccaneer Beach in 2015. The restoration and transformation of Noah's Sprayground, the most popular children's area in Splashwater Kingdom, will offer children and young families a brand new place to cool off on hot summer days.

The refreshed and re-themed pirate adventure will feature pop jets, splash pads, children's slides and water elements offering endless water park fun. The expansion to the upper water park will include new pool deck space and increased shaded water park seating.

Buccaneer Beach is scheduled to open spring 2015 in the center of upper Splashwater Kingdom.

The Great Escape is also announcing the start of 2015 Season Pass sales with a limited time offer through Labor Day featuring the lowest prices in years on 2015 Passes. From August 28 through September 1, guests will receive a free upgrade to a Gold Season Pass with each two-pack purchased. Gold Season Passes include admission to The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, and any other Six Flags theme park, as well as free parking and special admission offers for friends. 2015 Season Passes provide unlimited visits any operating day for the rest of 2014 (including park admission to Fright Fest^®) and all of 2015. 

Still to come this fall, Six Flags Great Escape's annual Fright Fest^® celebration will take place weekends, October 4 - November 2, and feature the terrifying Ghost Town: Dead in the West scare zone and Nightmare Haunted House, plus extended operating hours including Friday nights beginning October 17.
