The GRE® Program Comes to Wall Street
PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- To support growing demand in the New York City area, the GRE Program has recently introduced new Saturday testing options for the GRE® revised General Test in Manhattan's Financial District.
This addition is in response to the increasing number of individuals taking the GRE revised General Test for master's, MBA, specialized master's in business programs and beyond. ETS officials report a significant increase in individuals taking the GRE revised General Test for business school, which may be of special interest to those who work or live near the Financial District.
"In the first half of 2014, we have already seen double-digit growth of the number of individuals around the world taking the GRE revised General Test with the goal of obtaining a graduate degree in business," says David Payne, Vice President of Global Education at ETS. "Most business schools accept and welcome applicants with GRE scores—and prospective applicants see the benefits of taking the GRE test, including the ability to skip questions and go back within a section, and the ScoreSelect® option, which enables test takers to send only their best sets of scores to graduate or business schools worldwide."
Currently about 90 percent of the 2015 U.S. News & World Report Top 100 business schools in the United States and nine of the top 10 institutions on the Financial Times 2014 Global MBA Ranking accept GRE scores for admission into their MBA programs. In addition, Bloomberg Businessweek's top 30 U.S. MBA Programs accept GRE scores for their programs.
The new Saturday GRE testing will be offered at the Prometric testing center located at 40 Rector Street. This center is among the more than 850 locations around the world where individuals can take the GRE revised General Test.
