The Good News Foundation Makes a 'Premier' Move to Beverly Hills
The Notable Non-profit, Created by the Television News Women of Los Angeles, Headquarters in Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- There is some good news to report -- The Good News Foundation has found a philanthropic friend in Premier Business Centers and can now get down to the "business" of making a difference in the lives of people in need and at-risk in Greater Los Angeles. The non-profit foundation, founded by the women of Los Angeles television news, is now headquartered in Beverly Hills at Premier's prime location -- 9701 Wilshire Boulevard.
The Board of Directors for The Good News Foundation is comprised of the leading ladies of Los Angeles television news: KTLA's Wendy Burch, KCAL's Pat Harvey, KTTV's Christine Devine, KNBC's Ana Garcia and Good Day LA's Dorothy Lucey. These women are well accustomed to the working environment of a television newsroom -- but were unfamiliar with the hassles and high-costs of finding an ideal office space.
"As a small non-profit, we were not comfortable with long-term leases or isolated office spaces that offered no administrative support," according to Wendy Burch, the Founder and Chairperson of the Foundation. "What Premier provides is a great office environment for us to make 'good' on our promises to help those in need in the communities we cover on a daily news basis."
Premier Business Center prides itself in offering businesses an opportunity to "right size" their office space in these economically challenging times -- whether it's a large firm or a small non-profit like The Good News Foundation, Premier offers prime locations, ideal office space (unfurnished or fully furnished) as well as access to beautiful conference rooms. Offices can be rented for as little as $300 a month. Plus, each location is completely equipped with conference rooms, telephones, high-speed Internet access, fax machines, copy machines and office supplies.
"We knew The Good News Foundation could do great things, especially if they had the ideal office environment to work from," says Jeff Reinstein, the Chief Executive Officer for Premier Business Centers. "In fact, their mission of recognizing and rewarding individuals and organizations making 'good news' is right in line with our company's core values -- that is why Premier Business Centers decided to donate office space to this worthwhile organization."
"We were overwhelmed with this charitable gift by Premier Business Centers," says Wendy Burch. "Premier was already an affordable option for us -- but now that we are out from under our over-head -- we can give more money to those who need it the most."
Burch goes on to whimsically add that it's no surprise the "Good News Girls" feel right at home at their new Beverly Hills Headquarters. According to Board Member and Good Day LA Host, Dorothy Lucey, "The only real drawback is that every time I drop by the office to do non-profit work it ends up costing me because I always seem to find my way to Neimans."
The Good News Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity founded by the women of Los Angeles Television News. Since its inception three years ago, The Good News Foundation has made headlines -- providing more than $700,000 in charitable grants, scholarships and donations to worthwhile organizations throughout the greater Los Angeles community. http://www.TheGoodNewsFoundation.org
