As night fell, the façade of the renowned Pavillon Cambon Capucine, decorated in the colours of G.H.MUMM, turned into a reflection of the Maison Cordon Rouge in Reims. The Pavillon thereby became a very exclusive location, reserved for the Maison's guests and close friends. Some 300 visitors from all round the world were welcomed by César Giron, Chairman and CEO of Pernod SA, alongside Didier Mariotti, the House's Cellar Master. Guests included the Israeli artist Noma Bar, who worked in close synergy with the Champagne house in illustrating the Champagne Protocoles de G.H.MUMM with elegance, humour et modernity.
Famous French actor Lambert Wilson honoured the occasion with his presence by opening the ceremony and proposing a toast. Telling about the campaign, Wilson said: "I am delighted to be here, and I find G.H.MUMM's campaign around the rituals of champagne fascinating. It's amazing to celebrate the champagne culture while rediscovering its authenticity from a different angle. I've discovered a host of rituals which were new to me and which I now intend to use to impress my friends!"
Amongst the other VIPs were also artist Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, Jet Setter Emmanuel de Brantes, Oliver Coursier et Simon Buret (AarRON group), film producer Regis Wargnier, French actors Stanislas Merhar and Christopher Thompson,
Designers Olivia Putman , Alexandra Van Houtte & Chantal Thomass, World's best Sommelier Philippe Faure-Brac, Stephane Bern, Allyson Paradis, Francis Holder.
In the Pavillon Cambon Capucine's majestic reception hall, guests had the chance to discover the G.H.MUMM champagne culture through a contemporary ball of the utmost refinement. At 9.45pm, just as a spectacular waltz of wine waiters, choreographed by Stéphane Jarny, descended the Pavillon's monumental staircase and crossed the room, a set of pillars lit up to unveil G.H.MUMM's end-of-year latest creations, the Protocoles Deluxe Case and the Protocoles Gift Box. The MUMM Box, a great luminous checkerboard, marked the official start of the G.H.MUMM Ball, accompanied by the music of DJ Florian Sailer.
