ATLANTA, Feb. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Georgia Center for Nonprofits is seeking nominations for its annual Revolutions Awards. The Revolutions Awards honor individuals and organizations from across Georgia's nonprofit sector who have implemented a revolutionary change that has generated a measurable, sustainable, and transformative impact on an individual, organization or community.

Revolutions Awards are given in the following nonprofit categories: Outstanding Nonprofit Organization, Outstanding Nonprofit Board Leader, and Outstanding Nonprofit Leader. Last year's winners included Elaine Draeger, President and CEO of Sheltering Arms Early Education & Family Centers; Piedmont Park Conservancy; and Jacqueline Yeaney, Co-President of the Board of Open Hand.
Deadline for award nominations is February 22, 2013. The announcement of the Revolutions Award winners will be the highlight of the awards luncheon on May 21 at GCN's Nonprofit Summit 2013. Each award winner's organization will receive a check for $1,000 thanks to the generous support of awards sponsor Warren Averett+GH&I.
