The Galaxy Expands for Next Issue on Samsung's Mobile Tablets
Next Issue selects Samsung to offer new marketplace of interactive, digital magazines on Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1
NEW YORK and SILICON VALLEY, Calif., June 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Issue Media, the company formed by five leading U.S. publishers – Conde Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp., and Time Inc. – today announced the latest development for their preview edition of Next Issue, the best way to experience interactive digital editions of the world's most popular titles for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi version.
Better Homes & Gardens, Car and Driver, Glamour, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, Vanity Fair and Wired are among the new titles that will be made available through Next Issue throughout the summer. The preview release, previously only available to customers on the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab from Verizon Wireless and Samsung's Wi-Fi version, will soon be available on the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 Wi-Fi version. This release also marks the preview launch of a Next Issue application which integrates these titles into a single storefront, allowing for easy browsing and purchasing of subscription plans and access to special pricing for existing print subscribers.
The company also announced that it remains on track for the Q4 release of its fully featured, cross-platform marketplace of interactive magazine content, including search, discovery and reading capabilities unique to Next Issue and not otherwise available on tablet or e-reader devices.
