The First CLOUD READY Building in Danbury
Local Company Leads National Consortium
DANBURY, Conn., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Commhub, a national leader in wired and wireless infrastructure and communications solutions for commercial and residential multi-tenant buildings, announced today the formation of a consortium of national solution providers to provide cloud ready services to the Matrix Corporate and Conference Center in Danbury.
"Right now, the Matrix is home to one of the most advanced communications infrastructures, and there is more to come," says Nicolas Reisini, Managing Director. "We have installed a carrier-grade, enterprise-ready WiFi system covering the common areas and conference facilities, and its managed and monitored 24x7x365. The bandwidth provided and the level of security is well beyond any in building WiFi available in the New York metropolitan area and the Northeast region."
A Plug and Play Building
"Normally, when a company moves into an office building, they are left to figure out everything to do with telecommunications. They have to build or link to a data center, tap into voice and data services from local carriers, and hire IT personnel to set up their desktop and network systems," says Reisini. "This takes time, money, and effort that companies really want and need to dedicate to their customers, products or services. We offer easy access and a dedicated staff to guide them through the process."
The consortium consists of Microsoft, NCR, Verizon, Linq360, Samsung, Crestron and other regional, national and international technology innovators from all sectors of the global technology market in a dedicated collaboration center, where truly integrated solutions can be demonstrated for the benefit of world-class enterprises in a working atmosphere.
"Our aim is to develop the most technologically advanced cloud ready multi tenant commercial building and conference facility in the nation," says Steve Geltman of Suitlinq.
The Building is Cloud Ready:
Starting with the conference center, the building owners have already invested $10,000,000 in upgrades. Now, the consortium plans a major technology overhaul to create a world class corporate destination and conference facility with world class technologies built in.
"In the virtual, mobility ready world, access from the desk top to the cloud in buildings need to be robust, flexible and seamless – "easy to get at" scalable building infrastructure matters more than ever," continues Reisini. "Cloud computing is changing how everyone does business and access from everywhere is all important. We recently had two powerhouse companies come in for the premium WiFi service, with 15 to 100 people using the service at the same time."
The Matrix is home to 24 separate board room style rooms and classroom style facilities, which are all being upgraded to be a model of innovation.
The over one million square foot building is currently home to enterprise household names such as Boehringer Ingelheim, General Motors, Praxair and Guideposts, as well as small- to mid-sized businesses. Executive office and suite facilities also provide advanced technologies for entrepreneurs and virtual office services.
Commhub is the Northeast's premier telecommunications solutions and infrastructure facilitator, with their home office in Danbury, CT.
