The First CIE Drew to a Successful Conclusion on March 31
KUNSHAN, China, April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The three-day first China International Import Expo, held in Kunshan, Jiangsu, was successfully closed on March 31. All the exhibitors, professionals and purchasers shared the world-class cooperation feast together.
During the exhibition, a large number of the world's leading high-tech products focused on appearance, which hinged on the whole nation and new technologies, new equipments and major emerging industries. Statistics show that, there were 56 thousand professionals present and 72 thousand visitors during the 3 days. According to incomplete statistics, 56% of the exhibitors reached a corporation agreement on import, product agent and investment, in which import agreements account for 31%, product agent takes 15% and investment corporation is 10%. In addition, 83% of the exhibitors gave a five-star evaluation about the exhibition, and 71% of the participants made it clear that they will attend the next CIE.
In order to actively implement the expansion import strategy, enhance understanding and construct a platform for trade cooperation, the expo also held APCC (Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce), Series Launch Events of New Products and New Technologies, and Press Conference of Purchase Information. In addition, ICC and WCF said they would continue to support the conference of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce to be held in Kunshan in successive years and create it as a world-famous forum brand.
At the China-Canada (Ontario) trade matchmaking meeting, 162 Chinese enterprises throughout the country attended and negotiated with Canadian enterprises. California project meeting introduced its export and investment environment and opportunities and signed MOU between California APAC and CCOIC. California signed 10 agreements of intents with organizations in Shanghai and Kunshan. In addition, Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province and Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Committee published the general demands for industries to be specially developed, important technological upgrading direction and equipment to be imported for the technological upgrading projects during the "12th Five-Year Plan" of Jiangsu Province.

After visiting the expo, delegations from Zhejiang and Guangdong said they hadn't thought there would be so many multinational companies attending this first expo. Many expert-level audiences also took delight in talking about the exhibition level, who exclaimed that the booths were simple, environment-friendly and dismountable. Not only did the import expo import edge-cutting new technologies and new products, but also introduced the foreign advanced exhibiting concepts.
The success of the first CIE brings more opportunities to China, to Jiangsu, to Kunshan. It is understood that the second CIE was determined to be held in Kunshan, Jiangsu on May 15-18, 2013.
