The Final Table That Broke Records! Team 888poker Dominates!

The 2012 WSOP Main Event has been a long journey that started this last July with 6,598 players, 666 cashes, $62,031,385 prizepool with 27,258,025 broken up between the final nine.
When the October Nine sat down at the coveted final table on October 29th, Team 888poker had the chipleader, Jesse Sylvia, the youngest player, Jake Balsiger and Russell Thomas. Records were broken and some of the best poker in history was played out.
Team 888poker held strong with all three lasting till the final four. Unfortunately Russell Thomas met his demise at the hand of fellow teammate Jake Balsiger when his AK took out Thomas' A9. Thomas took home a total of $2,852,537for his 4th place finish.
On October 30th the final three sat down all with the dream of winning the championship title and bracelet. The day, night, morning-long table broke WSOP records for the longest final table in the history of the Main Event. Chip stacks shifted amongst the three like clockwork for 10+ hours until finally the cycle was broken when Jake Balsiger went All In with Qh10d against Greg Merson's KcQs. Jake took home $3,799,073 for his outstanding 3rd place finish.
Things got intense in the heads-up match with online poker pro Greg Merson and Team 888poker's Jesse Sylvia. The final hand showed Jesse All In with QsJs against Merson's Kd5D. Merson's K held and history was made with Greg Merson victoriously winning the bracelet for the 2012 WSOP Main Event.
