The Executives' Club of Chicago to Host Women's Leadership Panel Discussion 'The Feminine Edge - You Don't Have to be one of the 'Boys' to Succeed'
CHICAGO, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, March 19, 2010, The Executives' Club of Chicago will host its third Women's Leadership Breakfast and Panel Discussion of the year, entitled "The Feminine Edge – You Don't have to be one of the 'Boy's' to Succeed." The panel will explore the need for women to embrace their power and utilize their cooperative and consensus building leadership styles to move forward in environments that are traditionally male dominated. The panel will also discuss how women are using their unique skill sets to take smart risks and ask questions, navigate the "old boys' network" and achieve work/life balance.
The discussion will be highlighted by the following presentations:
- "The Only Woman at the Table – Thriving in a World of Men" by Kathleen Cronin, Managing Director, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, CME Group
- "Passion: The Fight Inside of You" by Pam El, Marketing Vice President, State Farm
- "Determined Leadership: Traits for Success" by Lori Healey, Principal, The John Buck Company
A panel discussion will follow, moderated by Tsi-tsi-ki Felix, News Anchor for Telemundo Chicago.
The Club's quarterly Women's Leadership Breakfasts provide a forum for talented women to gather and discuss critical career issues, be inspired by those who have blazed a trail for others and develop the next generation of women leaders. The March 19th program will be held at the Hilton Chicago, 720 South Michigan Avenue, in the Grand Ballroom, at 7:00 a.m. The cost to attend is $36.50 for Executives' Club members; $57.50 for non-members.
