The Executives' Club of Chicago to Host Marathon Oil CEO Cazalot Speaking on 'Delivering America's Energy Security'
CHICAGO, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, May 18, 2010, The Executives' Club of Chicago will host Marathon Oil Corporation President and CEO Clarence P. Cazalot, Jr. In his speech, "Delivering America's Energy Security," Mr. Cazalot will address some of the hard truths concerning global energy supply and demand in the context of world population growth, developing nations' efforts to achieve economic prosperity similar to that of developed nations, and the need to meet our growing energy needs in a manner that preserves and protects our environment. To accomplish these challenging goals, he will discuss a three-pronged strategy that focuses on energy efficiency and conservation, diversity of supply and technology.
"Delivering America's energy security is a challenge likened to putting a man on the moon – only harder," Mr. Cazalot said. But like the great space race of the 1960s, he believes this challenge must be addressed in a rational, fact-based manner that taps the leadership and finest critical thinking skills of people across the entire spectrum, regardless of ideology or political affiliation.
Mr. Cazalot will speak at the Club's Annual Meeting and Global Leaders Luncheon program on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. The luncheon will take place at The Hilton Chicago, Grand Ballroom, at 12:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $57.50 for Executives' Club members; $78.50 for non-members.
