BOSTON, Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On Nov. 16th to help budding digital gaming industry entrepreneurs get a better grasp of the competitive landscape, opportunities, trends and pitfalls, the EntreTech Forum will be bringing together some of the leading lights of the local gaming cluster to discuss the state of the art in this emerging powerhouse industry.

Ever-increasing penetration of ever-more powerful, high-speed networked computers into our lives has enabled an expanding playing field for gaming. No matter the game, there's now a digital space to play it. The increasing complexity of games has forced a new economic model leading to consolidation among the largest developers. The industry growth and expectations are real with estimates that the worldwide interactive entertainment market is expected to grow to approximately $42BN in 2010. The Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council reports Massachusetts video game business pulls in ~$2BN annual revenue, employing ~1,200 people.
