The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC Names Finalists For Navigator Awards
MMV Financial's April Young to Receive Lifetime Navigator Award
HERNDON, Va., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC, a resource for technology-focused start-ups and entrepreneurs, announced today the first Entrepreneur Navigator Awards finalists and the first lifetime achievement winner. This new program honors individuals and organizations that have mentored and advised entrepreneurs and startups in the Greater Washington region. The award recipients will be announced at a reception on January 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Tower Club in Tyson's Corner, Virginia.

The program is comprised of the Navigator Award, presented to an individual, and the Organization Navigator Award, presented to a company or organization that has raised the bar for mentoring/advising or otherwise helped improve the quality of the entrepreneur community. Finalists in each category include:

In addition, The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC will present the inaugural Lifetime Navigator Award to April Young, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, U.S., MMV Financial, in recognition of her years of leadership in the local entrepreneur community.
As an active member in the Northern Virginia business community, Young's experience has included Director of the Virginia Department of Economic Development, Senior Vice President of NVR Development and Executive Director of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. In addition, she is the co-founder of Mindshare, a regional collaboration designed to nurture a professional network of early stage technology and life science company CEOs.
