Cloud-based system gives K-12 educators the power to create and prepare students for standards-aligned assessments
CLEVELAND, May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The eGenio® Integrated Learning Environment™ offers teachers access to the digital tools they need to build lessons and assessments that cultivate critical thinking skills, including 65,000 standards-aligned questions available through the ETS ® Formative Assessment Item Bank. Educators can use these resources to create classroom lessons and a variety of custom assessments at the classroom and district levels, improving their ability to monitor and track student progress.
The eGenio Integrated Learning Environment is a cloud-based platform that integrates learning, student information, digital resources and other data systems to enrich the learning process and improve learning management, outcomes and accountability. It serves as a platform for classroom teachers, students and administrators complete with a parent portal that is more comprehensive, robust and easier to use than any other.
The ETS Formative Assessment Item Bank is provided as part of eGenio's Resource Center, which contains high-quality content searchable by keyword, type, or standard.
The 65,000 ETS test items measure mathematics, reading and writing for K–12, and science for grades 3 through high school. Most items are multiple choice, but some short and extended constructed-response items are also included. Each item has been checked for alignment with the standards of all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the ETS National Frameworks, and reviewed and aligned where appropriate against the new Common Core Standards. All items in the bank are carefully created using ETS's rigorous item-development process.
The eGenio Integrated Learning Environment is vendor-hosted and secure, so no additional data storage costs are incurred by districts. On-site teacher training, plus live customer support, is included and supplemented with an easy-to-use help center complete with embedded tutorial podcasts.
Headquartered in Cleveland, eGenio Education Solutions (www.egenio.com) provides an Integrated Learning Environment™ that engages students and empowers educators with the tools and resources needed to teach 21st-century skills.
