The Economist Launches $25,000 MBA Scholarship Contest
The Economist announces the launch of its third Brightest Minds MBA Scholarship contest.
NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Which MBA?, the business education group of The Economist Group, announced the launch of its third Brightest Minds MBA Scholarship Contest.
The Fall 2014 Brightest Minds MBA scholarship drew over 6,000 entrants. The winner of the $25,000 MBA scholarship, Sean Walsh, of Alberta, Canada, a Mechanical Engineer in the energy industry, plans to use his MBA degree to advance into the financial side of the energy industry.
"The Economist recognizes the increasing importance of a global perspective to business success," said Adam Ingberman, Head of Which MBA?. He added, "We are pleased to connect students from around the world with business schools that can help them take the next step in their careers while offering exceptional students financial support towards their MBA program of choice."
The contest is open to all prospective MBA or EMBA students worldwide. The winner will be the student who scores the highest on The Economist GMAT Tutor simulation test. The simulated GMAT exam utilizes adaptive technology similar to that of the real GMAT, so the difficulty level adjusts according to the test-taker's ability. The winning student will be awarded a $25,000 scholarship towards tuition to one of the business school sponsors:

The contest will close on April 25, 2015. The winner will be announced by May 30th. Five randomly selected runners-up will receive a free iPad mini.
