The Disaster Loan Outreach Center in East Haven is closing Oct. 27; Over $4 Million in SBA Disaster Loans Approved
ATLANTA, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in East Haven, Connecticut will close Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at 6 p.m. Those affected who need assistance in completing their application are encouraged to visit the Center to receive one-on-one assistance.

Open: Monday - Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Closing: Thursday, Oct. 27 at the close of business
The SBA has approved more than $4 million in U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Loans for Connecticut residents who were affected by Tropical Storm Irene.
Currently, $4,109,400 in home and business low-interest disaster loans have been approved for affected survivors. "We are pleased to be able to get these loans approved so residents and businesses in the disaster area can continue rebuilding and resuming their normal lives. With the Nov. 3 deadline less than two weeks away, SBA encourages anyone who has not completed and returned their disaster loan application to do so as soon as possible," said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA's Field Operations Center East in Atlanta.
For information about the SBA Disaster Loan Program, call the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. Loan application forms can be downloaded from www.sba.gov. Completed applications should be returned to the Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155. Survivors may fill out a loan application online by visiting SBA's website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
The deadline to return SBA applications for physical property damage is November 3, 2011. The deadline to return applications for economic injury is June 4, 2012.
