The Daily Beast Appoints Heather Dietrick As President and Publisher
Former Head of Gizmodo Media Group to Drive Next Phase of Growth
NEW YORK, May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, The Daily Beast announced the appointment of Heather Dietrick as President and Publisher, where she will oversee all company operations with an emphasis on growing The Daily Beast's journalistic influence and building out new revenue streams. Ms. Dietrick starts June 14 and will report to IAC Publishing CEO Adam Roston.

As President and Publisher of The Daily Beast, Ms. Dietrick will embolden its mission and commitment as a journalism company while aiming to grow and diversify revenue. Ms. Dietrick comes to The Daily Beast from Gizmodo Media Group where she oversaw influential content brands such as Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Jezebel and Jalopnik, whose traffic collectively grew 25 percent during her tenure. Before this, Ms. Dietrick served as President of Gawker Media, leading the company through its ultimate sale to Univision last year.
