Using the original characters and storyline of their graphic novel series, The Cynja is a full-color digital comic book written by Chase Cunningham, Heather C. Dahl and illustrated by Shirow Di Rosso and is based on their expertise as techies and parents. The comics inspire kids of all ages to make smart choices online and learn about Internet safety as they navigate their digital lives.
"We're thrilled to be a part of the Farrago Comics world," said Heather C. Dahl, CEO of The Cynja LLC. "Like our mission at The Cynja, Farrago Comics is transforming people's understanding of technology. Their digital distribution platform empowers original series like The Cynja to share our story and the joy of comics with millions of new readers, something that wasn't possible only a few years ago."
"We are very excited to be working with The Cynja team," said Matty Ryan, Chief Creative Officer of Farrago Comics. "With technology advancing so quickly, cyber safety for kids should be a part of everyone's thought process. We are looking forward to helping spread The Cynja and their inspirational stories on the Farrago Comics platform."
The Cynja comic series, supported by a sponsorship from managed secure cloud leader Armor, has been recognized by PBS NewsHour, the Guardian, Children's Book Review, HelpNet Security, PC Magazine, Savvy Auntie, the National Press Foundation, Holland's Kennisnet, Australia's Mouth of Mums and the former inspector general for the NSA.
"Our goal is to transport Farrago Comics' fans deep into the virtual reality we now live by weaving creativity into an understanding of the impact digital innovation has on our daily lives, society and world," said Chase Cunningham, CTO of The Cynja LLC. "When we use the Internet each of us enters a virtual world wherein forces of immense magnitude battle for power. Like the ancient myths and the imagined tales of fantasy and science fiction, this cyber darkness is filled with a new generation of monsters—zombies, worms, botnets and more. But there is one, critical difference; these monsters are real."
