The Cyberchase at the C. R. Smith Museum Has Almost Run Out
Don't Miss This ... the Fun and Learning End Soon
FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines C. R. Smith Museum knew it had a winner with its "Cyberchase" exhibit, but attendance has outstripped expectations. With the exhibit ending Sept. 3, parents may want to make plans for their children to experience it – or re-experience it – before it's gone. Based on the popular PBS KIDS GO! television show, "Cyberchase" is a fun-filled, but still educational, math exhibit. The mathematics are cleverly hidden in a classic good vs. evil adventure that children find challenging and delightful.
Kids can join members of the "CyberSquad" – Matt, Inez, Jackie and Digit the cyberbird – as they fight to save the virtual universe, Cyberspace, from falling into the hands of the villainous Hacker. Based on the Emmy-winning, mystery cartoon show "Cyberchase," the exhibit presents math in a fun, kid-friendly way. It allows children to use their critical thinking skills and math – concepts like space value, probability and fractions as well as algebra and geometry – to investigate ways to outsmart Hacker.
Time is running short: the exhibit runs through Sep. 3. It is included in the museum admission (adults $4; military, seniors, kids 2-18 $2). Members enjoy free admission every day. The C.R. Smith Museum is located at State Highway 360 and FAA Road. For directions or more information, go to www.crsmithmuseum.org.
