Directed and written by Pete Schuermann of Slithering Carpet Films, LLC, and produced by Nancy Theken, The Creep Behind the Camera follows the making of 1960s classic film The Creeping Terror and the story behind Hollywood's historic con artist, Vic Savage (also known as Art Nelson). In the 60s, Savage conned unsuspecting investors into thinking he was making the best monster movie of all time, but little did he know, he'd end up making the worst. The 2014 dark, twisted comedy shows that the true creep was behind the camera the entire time.
"We are honored to receive so much support from experts in the industry such as Beaulieu, Conniff and Dante," said Pete Schuermann, director and writer. "I'm happy to see our crew and cast get recognized for all their hard work."
The film's Colorado-based cast and crew have also gained visibility in other films. Jodi Lynn Thomas ("Lois") is co-starring in CW network's "The Messengers," Laurel Harris ("Helen") was featured in 2014's The Maze Runner and 2013's Odd Thomas. Bill LeVasseur ("William") is the star and host of The Weather Channel's Brainstormers.
