The Corky McMillin Companies Announces Solid 2009 Home Sales
Veteran Homebuilder Logs 825 Home Closings From Four Divisions
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Corky McMillin Companies recently released its 2009 home closing numbers, a success well above industry reports as a whole. The company, now in its 50th year, has maintained a substantial volume of home closings despite the current economic challenges faced by the real estate industry.
McMillin Homes closed 825 home sales in 2009, spread over its four home-building divisions, including Southern California, Central Valley and Bakersfield in California and San Antonio in Texas.
According to Guy Asaro, president of McMillin Homes, who oversees all home-building operations for the company, most divisions reported similar market shares in 2009 that were seen in 2008.
"I believe our success this past year can be attributed to the fact that we remained focused on four main objectives," Asaro stated. "First is our continued commitment to building quality homes, our adherence to our company principles, providing a strong product presentation of both our model homes and our production units, and lastly, our dedication to giving our home buyers the best possible home-buying experience.
"With enough land to accommodate 9,200 single- and multi-family homes, we expect 2010 to be similar to 2009 in closings," Asaro added. "We are aggressively seeking new acquisition opportunities."
McMillin Homes, a Corky McMillin company, is currently building in the California markets of San Diego, Bakersfield, Visalia and Fresno, as well as San Antonio, Texas, specializing in move-up products for second- and third-time home buyers. For additional information, visit www.mcmillinhomes.com.
