The Conference Board's 12th Annual Women's Leadership Conference to Conclude with Ringing of the Nasdaq Closing Bell on Friday, June 17
NEW YORK, June 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Conference Board announced today that its 12th Annual Women's Leadership Conference, currently underway at the New York Marriot Marquis, will be honored by Nasdaq in tomorrow afternoon's closing-bell ceremony. At 4:00 PM ET, Stephanie Linnartz, EVP & Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer at Marriott International, will ring the closing bell, along with a distinguished group of conference speakers, panelists, and attendees, including Jon Spector, CEO of The Conference Board.
Ms. Linnartz, Mr. Spector, and other participants in the ceremony will highlight the core theme of this year's conference: Despite heading some of the largest corporations in the U.S., women still lag men in key measures of advancement, compensation, and leadership. In fact, their overall representation in C-suites and on boards remains distressingly low—and stagnant. To combat these stubborn challenges, the 12th Annual Women's Leadership Conference has convened a remarkable roster of leaders armed with practical guidance for women seeking to move into and through the executive levels of their organizations. Members of the press are encouraged to join the bell ceremony at 3:45pm, June 17, at Nasdaq MarketSite at 4 Times Sq. Space is limited; email any of the listed contacts for details.
