The Conference Board Corporate Development Conference to Focus on Enabling the Capital Agenda
NEW YORK, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- As companies turn their attention from weathering the financial crisis to preparing for recovery, most are focusing on capital. The right capital structure and strategy will be a critical determinant of success and growth. This will be examined at The Conference Board 2010 Corporate Development Conference, sponsored by Ernst & Young LLP.
The conference, entitled Enabling the Capital Agenda, will be at The InterContinental The Barclay NY in New York City, April 20-21, 2010.
The Corporate Development Conference offers corporate development professionals and other transaction leaders and team members an opportunity to learn from some of the nation's leading CDOs. They are finding new ways to structure transactions, refine process, add value to their enterprises -- and many are rethinking their roles.
The event's featured dinner speaker is William E. Kovacic, Commissioner, Federal Trade Commission. Kovacic will address mergers and acquisitions (M&A) related topics including anti-trust views and enforcement priorities of Obama administration, attention to foreign vs. domestic buyers in terms of anti-trust and M&A in the US and abroad, and what the US is doing to establish a more coherent international framework.
Steve Krouskos, Global and Americas Accounts & Growth Leader for Ernst & Young LLP's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice, will kick off the conference and provide introductory remarks on "The Capital Agenda."
Rich Jeanneret, Vice Chair for Ernst & Young LLP's TAS practice will start day two of the conference and discuss the state of the transaction market and its outlook. Christian Plumb, Reuters Editor-in-Charge of Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions will serve as moderator for "Capital Markets, Cash and the Transactions Landscape."
