BOSTON, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- In its annual list of "The Top 100 Independent Investment Advisors," Barron's magazine ranked The Colony Group's President and CEO, Michael Nathanson, among the top 60 independent investment advisors in the nation.  This is the third time that The Colony Group CEO was included on the list.

The list of America's top independent investment advisors ranks advisors according to a scoring system based on, among other factors, quality of practice, assets under management, and revenue generation.  Barron's magazine is one of Wall Street's most respected publications and has been published by Dow Jones & Company since 1921.

The Colony Group also was recently included in Financial Advisor magazine's 2010 ranking of registered investment advisors.  The Colony Group was ranked among the top 100 investment advisors in the nation by total assets under management.  This was the third consecutive year that The Colony Group was included on Financial Advisor's list.
