About AGAPE Love From Above to Our Community
AGAPE is a 100 percent volunteer, faith-based organization. Its ongoing mission is to "fill in the gaps" which currently exist between people in need throughout the Bloomsburg, Penn. area and the human services available to assist them.
Following the flooding caused by Tropical Storm Lee, AGAPE answered the call to help serve the community. Flood relief assistance was offered in the form of meals for flood victims and flood-relief volunteers; cleaning supplies; fans; and other items necessary to help those who lost everything. Those affected by the flood were also helped directly by the hundreds of volunteers that AGAPE organized into teams to go out and help with mud-outs, debris removal and disinfection.
