The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Recognized for Promoting Healthy Workplace, Lifestyle

PHILADELPHIA, June 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Children's Hospital received a Gold Award from the National Business Group on Health (NBGH), a nonprofit association of large employers, recognizing the institution's commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy workplace and encouraging employees and families to support and maintain healthy lifestyles.

CHOP was among 66 employers that received the 2010 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award June 14 at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the NBGH's Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being.

CHOP was recognized for its Your Life, Your Work, Your Well-Being program that includes health risk assessments, biometric screenings, and targeted health interventions that are integrated with benefit and clinical programs. Employees have access to health and wellness coaches, behavior improvement tools (including tobacco cessation programs), an expectant parent program and lactation support.
