The Charity Golf Association Teams Up with Legendary Sports Agent Leigh Steinberg
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Charity Golf Association (CGA) today announced its partnership with preeminent sports agent Leigh Steinberg.
Steinberg's long-standing relationships, coupled with his focus on philanthropy and community goodwill, has been a hallmark of his 40-year career. A sports business guru, author, and sought-after speaker, Steinberg has lectured on the business of sports, entertainment and the art of negotiation around the world. Steinberg's vision, to use the power of sports to make the world a better place, is strategically and philosophically aligned with the mission of the CGA.
Steinberg is reestablishing his leadership position in the sports management arena with the launch of his new company, Steinberg Sports & Entertainment, based in Newport Beach. He will be taking both an investor and advisory board member position with the CGA.
Steinberg's achievements in sports representation and contributions to humanitarian causes include setting the standard for professional athletes to serve as positive role models who give back to their communities. The CGA charity tour will be the first of its kind to magnify contributions by making event grants possible through their turnkey tournament operations. A nationwide tour schedule is expected to be announced by mid-summer.
