~ Dinosaurs, Acrobats and Magicians Take Over Terminal 1 ~
TORONTO, Aug. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Pearson was full of wildly wacky talent yesterday as some of the very best in international street performances marked the start of Scotiabank BuskerFest 2013. From break dancers to acrobats and magicians to comedians, Terminal 1 guests were surprised and delighted with these unexpected acts.
Here for Scotiabank BuskerFest in support of Epilepsy Toronto, live busker performances included acts by Cirque Du Soleil performer, Julio "Kown" Santiago and his crew, along with entertainment from flexible comedian Jonathan Burns. There was also a spontaneous appearance by playful beasts from prehistoric times, the Sauruses.
"For the second year, Toronto Pearson is happy to celebrate our city by working with Scotiabank BuskerFest to bring one of Toronto's greatest events right to Terminal 1," said Jennifer Larson, Manager, Guest Experience Marketing, Toronto Pearson. "In support of Epilepsy Toronto, we're pleased to share this unique experience with our guests for such a great cause."
Beginning today, Toronto Pearson will donate $1CDN up to $5,000CDN to Epilepsy Toronto for every Twitter post using the hashtag #PearsonBuskerFest. To further encourage the Toronto Pearson community to get in on the busking action, the airport is asking Canadians to "Put Forth their Best Busker" by sharing their videos which showcase their unique busker-like talents. Videos can be shared to Twitter from August 19 to August 25 and should include the hashtag #PearsonBuskerFest.
