The Budd Group Celebrates 50th Anniversary

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Budd Group, a Winston-Salem based facilities services company, is delighted to be celebrating 50 years of taking care of business. Through the years, as the family-owned company has grown across the Southeast, they have held fast to a commitment to excellence while embracing the technological and environmental changes needed to stay ahead.

Richard Budd had just graduated from High Point College in 1963 when he bought a struggling janitorial supplies company in Winston-Salem. When a client asked if he could provide the cleaning crew to go with the supplies, Budd said, "Yes." When another client asked if they could mow the lawn at headquarters, Budd said, "Yes." Security followed in a similar manner, and today the Budd Group employs more than 5,000 people through ten regional offices.
