The Bipartisan Policy Center Welcomes Capitol Hill Veteran Michele Stockwell
WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is pleased to announce that Michele Stockwell has joined its staff as Vice President of Public Policy. Stockwell will also serve as Executive Director of the BPC's Advocacy Network and will lead advocacy efforts for all BPC projects.
"Michele's experience on Capitol Hill will be an important asset to the Bipartisan Policy Center and our policy projects," said David Conover, Senior Vice President at the BPC. "Having Michele on board will enhance our ability to promote consensus-based recommendations on economic policy, national security, homeland security, energy, health care, and transportation."
Stockwell comes to the BPC with over 10 years of experience on Capitol Hill, serving at top levels in both the House and Senate. Prior to joining the BPC, Stockwell was Policy Director for U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer where she oversaw the Majority Leader's policy team and worked to advance its congressional agenda.
Previously, Stockwell was a senior policy advisor to Senator Joe Lieberman and worked on the historic, bipartisan No Child Left Behind legislation. She also served as Policy Director for Senator Lieberman's presidential campaign and was a legislative aide to former Congressman Dave McCurdy.
