Eric J. Nestler, M.D., Ph.D., Nash Family Professor of Neuroscience and Director of the Friedman Brain Institute at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, will discuss drugs of abuse that corrupt brain regions and circuits. During this Webinar, Dr. Nestler will describe the molecular, cellular, and circuit actions of drugs of abuse and how knowledge gained from this work can be used to develop more effective treatments of addiction. Jeffrey Borenstein, M.D., President and CEO of the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation and host of the public television show "Healthy Minds," will be the moderator.
