The best trucks now come with the best seat
New GT700 series seats for PACCAR Inc.
MID AMERICAN TRUCK SHOW, LOUISVILLE, KY, April 1 /PRNewswire/ - GRA-MAG Truck Interior Systems, LLC, a joint venture between GRAMMER AG and Magna Seating, an operating unit of Magna International Inc., is launching the new GT700 series seats for PACCAR Inc.'s Kenworth T700 and Peterbilt 587 trucks targeted for the 4th quarter of 2011. This is a newly developed seat tailored for these trucks and specifically addresses the wants and needs of today's driver.
The new GT701, GT702, and GT703 seats have a range of options and features, including an advanced air suspension system that can automatically adjust to the driver's weight and all offer optional heating. In addition, these seats come in vinyl, cloth or ultraleather. The top of the line GT703 adds the option for cooling with premium leather covering and comes with an exclusive upper back adjustability feature that provides improved shoulder and neck support over a wide range of recline angles.
"GRA-MAG is thrilled to partner with PACCAR on this project," said Michael Senerius, GRA-MAG President. "All required ergonomic standards have been integrated into the seat with special attention given to ease of use and comfort for today's drivers. We look forward to continued future success in the marketplace with this seat."
Key GT700 series features:
- Optimized pneumatic suspension system
Vibrations and jolts are now absorbed even better by a pneumatic suspension with travel of 80 mm. The friction-optimized suspension features greater strength and stiffness from the previous seat, which makes for a longer service life. - 100-mm height adjustment with new control
The new control gives the user direct tactile feedback when adjusting the seat's height. This makes it even easy to use and ensures an ideal sitting position for occupants of any height. - Optimized shock absorber
It does not matter whether you are driving on the motorway or on a dirt road — the optimized adjustable shock absorber delivers even greater suspension comfort from previous generations.
