The Best Of Korea Arrives In The Garden State Just In Time For The Holidays

PARAMUS, N.J., Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Korea Export Association (KEA), an expert consultant group of Korean small and mid-size enterprises, is pleased to announce the opening of K-HIT, a first-of-its-kind concept shop that showcases ingenious product innovations from Korea. The grand opening will take place on December 20^th at its location in Westfield's Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey. 

The trailblazing concept has been successfully tested and launched across South Korea. The New Jersey store, which marks its entry into the US market, will feature an  assortment of never before-available products, comprised of unique design and innovative functionality, ranging from household appliances to electronics, sporting goods and more, all branded under the K-HIT concept. None of the products have been available to American consumers until now, adding an additional level of excitement and wonder. Together, they offer a distinctively rewarding shopping experience and a distinguishing element to any home or office atmosphere.

A selection committee that included U.S. buyers, used a rigorous and unbiased curation process to determine which products are exceptional, superior in quality and as a result, suitable for export and sale in the K-HIT retail store.

Without selling outside of Korea, small and mid-sized businesses are hard-pressed to thrive. The K-HIT model gives these businesses the opportunity to promote and sell their products in a vast shopping mall for maximum exposure. Beyond operating as a retail location, the Garden State Plaza store also functions as an export base and will offer logistical support in the form of warehouse storage space and call center, with the ultimate objective of introducing and encouraging domestic retailers to carry these unique products within their respective retail environments.

The K-HIT store is the result of the KORUS Free Trade Agreement executed earlier this year between the governments of the United States and South Korea.  This new store is extremely exciting as it celebrates the ideological support of the Korean Government and its SMBA governmental agencies. 

The grand opening ceremony is hosted by the previously mentioned agencies and is designed to provide local buyers, sales reps, product developers, and merchandisers the opportunity to meet with top Korean executives and governmental dignitaries who will be in town to celebrate the opening of the inaugural K-HIT store in the United States.
