The Beacon Group Names Dr. Oliver Richards to Lead Their Healthcare Vertical

PORTLAND, Maine, Feb. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beacon Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Oliver Richards to lead our Healthcare and Life Sciences practice.

A Senior Vice President at Beacon, Dr. Richards has been with the firm since June 2011. During his tenure with The Beacon Group, Dr. Richards has guided over 150 projects within the practice across the medical device, diagnostics, pharma/biotech, health IT, and consumer sectors.

Dr. Richards served as the keynote speaker for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation Entrepreneurons Series in February 2015. A frequent author, Dr. Richards has published numerous papers on a range of Healthcare and Life Sciences-related subjects, most notably as lead author of "The Role of Blood Vessels, Endothelial Cells, and Vascular Pericytes in Insulin Secretion and Peripheral Insulin Action" which was published in Endocrine Reviews in 2010. He has also written a series of white papers that identify new ways for companies to effectively grow in the global healthcare market.

Dr. Richards holds both a PhD and MBA from University of Wisconsin-Madison where he specialized in Strategic Management in Life and Engineering Sciences.

A lifelong runner, he is married and lives with his wife and daughter in Portland, Maine.
