The Author Stan's Story Of Struggle On The Vicious Cycle Of Worry And Fear
Do you ever get stuck into that vicious cycle of worrying where you get overwhelmed with worrying and fearful thoughts and you can't function?
As the author of a book on managing fear, Stan struggled with fear, anxiety, and worry for over 20 years.
CARNEGIE, Pa., Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Stan first struggled with fear and anxiety when he attended Penn State during freshman year. When he was diagnosed with fear and anxiety issues, he immediately started talking to a mental health counselor. It helped, but his anxieties and fears were still difficult to manage.
Stan struggled with various fear related issues during all five years. He said, "I can still remember going to the fraternity parties and seeing a lot of my friends get high or drunk to help relax and to unwind."
During those times, he could have used drugs and alcohol to help overcome the fears and anxieties, but Stan believed there was a better way to overcome mental health issues. The alcohol and drugs were a temporary fix and would just make problems even worse.
The fear and anxiety would be something Stan would have to deal with for the rest of life. So he took a proactive approach in managing mental health issues instead of making excuses or blaming others.
Stan read many books and learned what worked and what did not work in managing anxieties and fears so he would be better prepared the next time around.
There were many times Stan felt like giving up because his fears and anxieties were so powerful. During those times, Stan would consult with a professional and made it a point to learn from his experiences so that he would be better able to handle these situations in the future.
To this day, Stan still deals with fear and anxiety. He gained a lot of valuable experience in dealing with various mental health issues. He published a managing fear book based on his experiences.
