The Atlantic's "Women of Washington" Series Kicks Off Thursday, July 28 with Economist Dr. Alice Rivlin
WASHINGTON, July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With all eyes focused on the looming debt limit deadline, The Atlantic's "Women in Washington" series kicks off July 28 with an in-depth conversation on the national deficit and the future of U.S. tax policy. Dr. Alice Rivlin, former head of the CBO and the OMB and now a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, will sit down for a one-on-one interview with Atlantic Media Company's Linda Douglass to discuss the economic path forward in this country.
This is the first in a series of four "Women of Washington" events The Atlantic will host in 2011. The event series showcases conversations with eminent women leaders in Washington, D.C. on issues ranging from debt reform and energy to healthcare and politics.
