(AMES), founded in 1774 and a wholly owned subsidiary of Griffon Corporation (NYSE: GFF), was proud to support Flight 93 National Memorial yesterday during the groundbreaking of the final phase of major construction for the memorial's original design, the Tower of Voices. AMES donated ceremonial shovels that were used during the ceremony to officially begin construction on the tower. When completed, the Tower of Voices will stand 93 feet tall and contain 40 wind chimes that will serve as an enduring memory of the voices of the passengers and crew members.

The AMES Companies also collected donations, notes, letters, and mementos from the Central Pennsylvania community at three of the company's manufacturing and distribution locations during the week prior to the anniversary. A representative from AMES delivered the donations to the park.
