The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and MedAxiom Announce Partnership to Expand Member Benefits Across Organizations

WASHINGTON, April 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) and MedAxiom jointly announced a strategic partnership that provides a large repository of clinical and business resources to the cardiology and nuclear cardiology communities.  The partnership will include educational programming, benchmarking surveys, and guideline implementation strategies to further define best practices and medical professionalism in the field of nuclear cardiology.

Planning has already begun for a joint session at ASNC2012, the 17th Annual Scientific Session of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology this September in Baltimore.

The new partnership will enable both organizations to effectively gather, analyze, and disseminate information about trends in cardiovascular imaging, including protocol selection, equipment utilization, and staffing levels.  A preliminary benchmark survey is planned for summer 2012 with published data available in September 2012.
