The American Public Gardens Association Selects The Pollack PR Marketing Group as Its Agency of Record Following a Competitive Review
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pollack PR Marketing Group (PPMG) announced today that it has been appointed by the American Public Gardens Association (APGA) to lead the organization's public relations and brand outreach efforts, building public awareness of North America's public gardens and their vital role as advocates for the advancement of environmental stewardship, education, and plant conservation.
"We selected PPM.G based on their deep knowledge of our industry and their demonstrated expertise in building thought leadership platforms that effectively leverage current successes to expand influence," said Dan Stark, executive director of APGA. "We are excited to work with PPMG to communicate that the values and achievements of the nation's public gardens are of vital importance to the advancement of environmental stewardship, education, and plant conservation."
PPMG has previously worked with the APGA on a project basis, executing a successful internal communications program for the Association and its large membership.
"We are delighted to have won this competitive review as the APGA is a natural fit for our agency, considering our deep experience in building environmentally-focused thought-leadership platforms. We are deeply committed to amplifying the Association's mission," said PPMG Founder and CEO, Noemi Pollack. "On the cusp of a global shift, emanating from consumer trends, increased public focus on the changing environment, and political and economic commitments in support of sustainability initiatives, there is a tremendous opportunity for the APGA to expand its thought leadership and advocacy platforms on behalf of its more than 500 member gardens."
The APGA is a Pennsylvania-based organization devoted to strengthening the public gardens throughout North America. With over 70 years of work increasing cooperation and awareness among the gardens, APGA has built a membership of more than 500 public gardens located in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and seven other countries. Their members include public gardens as well as arboreta and zoos.
